5 way Elon Musk Life
5 way Elon Musk Life
Tesla CEO, SpaceX founder, and co-founder of the company that makes reusable rockets and vehicles said on stage at a UN climate summit that he is not interested in being a politician. He instead wants to be remembered for his vision, work ethic, and honesty to deliver earth-friendly energy solutions such as electric cars, solar power generation, and even Mars colonization. However, this hasn't stopped him from making many controversial comments about politics and environmental activists.
Elon Musk has made headlines for all the wrong reasons with some of these statements including a recent tweet where he called a New York woman 'cheap car seat' because she was a liberal Democrat. The original post then went viral after it was taken out by Twitter users who said the insult had nothing to do with her political views but rather an issue of gender roles. It wasn't until Elon's new book "Who Is Elon?" published last year that he addressed the controversy in an interview with Bloomberg that had been widely televised in America and Europe. According to Forbes, if you Google his name you will see results like the most expensive suit ever sold or the largest yacht ever built. For starters, no one can deny that every billionaire deserves their wealth however, this doesn't mean we should just discard them as they are. Here a few ways in which we should look at what he is up to: 1) Does he have any moral compass? 2) How much of his money is actually going towards anything other than himself? 3) Why does he get away with so many things? 4) Are there any signs he is changing? These questions show us that he may have changed a little bit between now and when he talks to people again. This change could mean he is finally taking responsibility for things he did in the past and also could show us that there is more to his life than what meets the eye and his reputation.
He has always been seen as a self-made man with a deep sense of spirituality, ethics, and values. Although we all know that isn't true, we still want to see how he is evolving and making changes within the community where he lives since he seems to be less concerned with pleasing others. There's definitely something else going on here with his social media accounts rather than simply posting pictures of his latest boat trip and buying yachts instead of working towards building a better world or improving the way humanity lives. We will probably never find out exactly what happens behind closed doors of his mind. On the flip side, as he continues to hold positions and make speeches of support for various causes or movements such as animal rights activists, climate activists, LGBTQI rights supporters, etc., he has become infamous with his public feuds with groups and organizations that oppose him. In addition to this, one scandal that came to light recently is the fact that a whistleblower had filed a complaint with US police investigators against Elon over sexual harassment allegations that were made against him by two women. Another report shows that he has donated $7MM in cash and stock worth of cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, to several non-profits and causes since 2016. One thing to keep in mind though is that Elon Musk's net worth is somewhere around $180B. If this number is correct then you can easily calculate how much money he would make off if he invested in Apple stock. However, according to the Wall Street Journal, this investment would only be worth about.05% of the total value of all stocks in Apple. The truth of the matter is that we won't know whether these donations are justified, but we do know for sure that he owns millions of shares of AAPL (Apple, Inc.). Whether he is investing in a good cause or trying to make money off his investments like many successful entrepreneurs before him, let us hope that he stays ethical and moral for all other shareholders that own companies like Apple, Facebook, Netflix, Amazon, Microsoft, Uber, Intel, and PayPal.
